Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders

• The Koorie Youth Council is the voice of young Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders in Victoria.
• The Koorie Heritage Trust protects and promotes the Aboriginal culture of South Eastern Australia and works to. It offers cultural awareness training, tours and exhibitions to help bridge the cultural gap between Koories and the wider community.

Disability

• Youth Disability Advocacy Service (YDAS) supports and advocates for young people with disabilities.

Diversity

• The Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) supports and advocates for young people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds. They have some great resources to support work with young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
• Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) provides advice, training and support for newly arrived and established migrants and refugees.

• Do Something Australia tackles social and environmental issues by building alliances between businesses, government and the community.

 Law and legal issues

• Youthlaw works for justice for young people under 25 through legal services, education and law reform. They have resources for youth workers and other people working with young people.

 Peak bodies

• YACVic (Youth Affairs Council of Victoria) is the peak body and leading policy advocate on young people's issues in Victoria. For more info, check out YACVic support.
• VCOSS (Victorian Council of Social Service) is the peak organisation of the non-government social and community services sector. They produce submissions and reports on a number of community issues. 

 Research and professional development

• The Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY) is a national non-profit organisation that works to turn the best evidence on “what works” for child and youth wellbeing into practical advice.
• The Youth Workers Association recognises the distinct professional knowledge, skills and specific expertise of Youth Workers. It advocates for youth workers and quality youth work training.

 Rural and regional areas

• YACVic Rural supports the rural and regional youth sector.

• The Office for Youth is the key agency driving a whole-of-government agenda in relation to Victorians aged 12 to 25. It’s responsible for policy advice, research and strategic planning relating to government policies, programs and service delivery for young Victorians. It’s also responsible for providing opportunities and channels for young people’s opinions to be considered by government.
• Vic.gov.au is the official Victorian Government website for Victorians, bringing information and services all together in one place. It has a full contact and services directory.
